Go Team
Never thought in my life that I'd be in the olympics, but I am now! Go Team Canada!
My Event: Sock Knitting.
It's about time that I gave it a go, those who want details on what the heck I'm talking about, probably haven't read yarn harlot for a while. So, here's the scoop.
The yarn and needles are ready. I've still yet to train (work up a swatch), but once I do, I'll be all set to go. I won't be attending the pub night in Toronto in kick off with everyone in Toronto, but i do hope that they will be meeting again so that I can join and meet fellow knitters in the city. I'll bring my knitting to Nashville and make sure that I get it cast on there. Ideally, I'll be able to bring the project on the plane ride back and get a lot done while I wait for my connections.
Figured that I should give myself a knitting challenage. After all, I've been meaning to do this for a while and I've been too chicken. After all, if I can teach myself continental, why can't I teach myself to knit socks?
My cross stitch has been getting a work out as well.
And I'm currently working on a blanket of Manos in squares, making my own version of the Four Seasons Throws by Design Source Collections. So far, so good, easy to work up and really nice yarn to work with.

New Flour Photos
Not much new, but I did put up a few more photos of Flour. She's growing fast, but I'm not sure the photos represents that. She's getting a lot more into biting these days, then again, she's getting new teeth.

8 days...
It's been a little while since I've blogged since I've spent most of the time with Flour. We've moved her to a bigger location (bathroom instead of just her crate) and I can't so easily work on the computer now that I'm 'watching' her there. We haven't weighed her since her last week's visit to the vet for shots, but today, she definitely looks bigger to me! I could just be seeing things. I do look at her all day between stitching and reading.
Most important update really is just that I've gone into RH to tell them I won't be available for the next two months while I house train the dog and so, who knows if they had to terminate the temp contract or not. But we talked about going back if I become free again. I might just do that. But for now, I'm nicely unemployed again. The reading, and stitching however has been going quickly.
On the weekends I'm a mad cooking and cleaning housekeeper as we try to prep enough meals for the week in one weekend. I feel like super housewife while I make three dishes at once while doing load after load of laundry. We'll likely do the same thing this weekend. G can watch Flour while I do the other things around the house. I think however, I'd like to go and buy somethings and exchange a xmas present. We'll see....
On a side note, finally installed Virtual PC on my Mac to try out and it's worth doing. Set-up was super easy and now I can run just about any PC app on my mac. Still got to optimize the memory set-up, but now there's just about no reason to ever keep a PC in the house anymore.
And on the amusing note, I install windows, it runs for a while and crashes. Virtual PC is still running and Mac is still running but windows xp crashes and restarts and sends a severe crash report to Microsoft. Yeah, just reminded me immediately why I don't like it. I can't believe it blue-screened me within 3 hours. If I didn't find it so funny I suppose I would be annoyed.

Introducing: Flour McBabo
We've finally decided on a name so we can stop calling her honey and baby and sweetie... but then again, we may still, but she's got to learn her name... Flour McBabo. For your interests, Flour is All Purpose and not Cake.
I've put up a page with her pictures, will be adding pictures over time, as I have time. She's sure a handful.

Proof of Paris Trip
The recap will come soon, but just to prove that I was in Paris for the New Year, I'm posting up two of the best photos of me (very few since G doesn't have a steady hand with my camera, lots of G however...)
In front of one of my favorite buildings, Hotel des Monnaies.
On the Pont des Arts.
